Experience a once-in-a-lifetime evening as two of India's most celebrated maestros unite on stage — the legendary sitar virtuoso Ustad Shahid Parvez and the internationally acclaimed bamboo flute maestro Shashank Subramanyam.

Join GemArts for Holi Festival of Colours, hosted in partnership with Baltic. Celebrate spring, new beginnings, and the vibrant Holi tradition with a spectacular colour throw, alongside creative workshops, henna, dance, music, and delicious Indian food.

Rhythms of India, presented by Kalakshetra and Newcastle University Indian Performing Arts Society (NUIPA), brings together performances by students from Newcastle University. These performances will span classical and traditional music and dance to tell the story of India’s vibrant cultural legacy.

Three accomplished and versatile musicians, Preetha Narayanan (violin), Giuliano Modarelli (guitar), and Harkiret Singh Bahra (tabla) come together to present an intimate Indian classical set with a contemporary folk-twist. A vibrant set celebrating Indian Classical music, Folk, and the spaces in between.
