GemArts

Kuchipudi Dance workshops

GemArts offered a series of Kuchipudi Dance workshops with experienced dancer Payal Ramchandani in Newcastle.

With a long list of international performances and awards under her belt, and having founded MRiJA to further promote Kuchipudi, Payal is the perfect teacher to introduce you to the richness of this South Indian dance form.

All workshops are open to everyone, no prior experience necessary. Sessions will cover both theory and practice, and students will be made aware of related fields such as music, ancient texts/epics, costume, makeup, sound and lighting.

Kuchipudi dance workshop courses ran for 6 weeks. The fee for this course was £42 with payment for all 6 workshops made to GemArts ahead of the first session.

At present GemArts does not have any 2016 dates and times for Kuchipudi Dance classes, but if you would like to find out more and to register your interest in future classes contact info@gemarts.org .
