This double bill concert features performances by the great qawali singers Nizami and Niazi Brothers from Delhi and Karachi, and the outstanding singer of Sufi poetry in the ghazal style Imran Khan, Delhi gharana.
Both styles of singing have their origins in the music of the khankas and dargas (shrines) of Sufi saints – always expressing their longing for God. This concert will offer a beautiful, soul stirring evening of uplifting music, bringing exceptional musicians from India and Pakistan to Gateshead.

Delicious Indian food will be available to buy during the interval (approx. time 8:15pm).
