The extraordinary percussionist, drummer and producer Sarathy Korwar, showcases music from his ‘Day to Day’ album, fusing traditional folk music from India’s Sidi community with jazz and electronics.  Sarathy is an alumnus of the The Steve Reid Foundation- a charitable trust established by Brownswood / Gilles Peterson to help musicians in crisis and also support emerging talent, mentored by Four Tet, Emanative, Floating Points and Koreless.

Sarathy and his quintet bring a unique musical soundscape to this year’s Masala Festival.

“Day To Day is an exceptional debut by this multi-percussive artist fusing jazz, electronic and Indian harmonics.” - Gilles Peterson.
