As part of the Newcastle Green Festival GemArts presents on the One World Heritage Stage - sufi music and dance fresh from the colourful deserts of Western Rajisthan. Traditional folk musicians perform vocal compositions of the great Sufi poets (such as Buleshar and Shah Latif) accompanied by the beautiful sarangi and kamenche (bowed stringed instruments), with a variety of vibrant percussion and also by stunning kalbelia dancers.
