Grammy award nominated Shashank Subramanyam is a flute maestro known internationally for his scintillating virtuosity. Shashank began learning the flute from a young age and performed in the senior most spot of the Music Academy at just 12 years old – a record yet to be broken in the history of South Indian music.

Now with over 30 years experience, he is considered one of the very best Bamboo flute artists in the world and has performed across the globe with the likes of Zakir Hussain, Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Paco De Lucia and Pandit Ajoy Chakraborthy. Shashank has propelled the Bamboo flute into an enviable position by his playing techniques, “the multi flute transposed fingering technique”, and the dual octave production, which have won him world-wide acclaim.

Joining Shashank onstage are two internationally renowned musicians, Mysore Srikanth on violin and Parupalli Phalgun on mridangam. Mysore is a disciple of Vidwan H.K. Narasimha Murthy of Mysore, follows the 'Parur style' of playing. He has perfromed regularly for All India Radio as well as accompanying some of the worlds best musicians in their live performances, including household names such as Bombay Jayashri and Abhishek Raghuram. Parupalli Phalgun is a multi-award winning mridangam vidwan who has toured extensively around the world, accompanying some of the biggest names in South Indian music.
