We’ve got something very special at this year’s Masala Festival Mini Mela as we celebrate creators and characters of South Asian heritage in children’s publishing.
Want to set sail on a paper boat with Aadi and his nanamma? Make your own ghungru to dance with little Akram? Be inspired by Rana to make art that bursts with colour? Or would you like a meditative moment to create your own inspirational children’s book? Three publishers, Bok Bok Books, AdiDev Press and Parakeet Books, are coming together for a fun-packed mini book fair so that you can do all of that, and more. Come and say hello to the awesome characters in their books and meet the talented people who made them!
