Amrita Kaur is a gifted vocalist whose enchanting voice transcends music, offering a healing and emotional journey that spans from lullabies to anthems. Her unique sound creates a harmonious blend of peace and unity.

Born in the UK, with roots in Malaysia, Amrita’s musical path took a major turn when her family moved to New Zealand over two decades ago. By the age of 7, she was already performing alongside her father, the well-known kirtaniya Bhai Yadvinder Singh, in Sikh kirtan programs at local Auckland Gurudwaras. At 11, she began her formal training in Indian classical music under Professor Shukdev Madhur.

Even while pursuing her Master’s degree in Architectural Studies at the University of Auckland, Amrita remained committed to her musical journey. Her thesis, titled "Ragamala - A Garland of Architecture and Music", creatively combined her love for music and architecture, examining how Indian classical ragas can be visually translated into architectural design.

Amrita's diverse musical repertoire includes devotional songs, ghazals, Sufi, Punjabi folk and pop, as well as classical and Hindi film music. She has gained millions of views and  a large following on platforms like YouTube and Spotify, and now has close to 68k followers on Instagram.

In January 2023, Amrita made history as the first Sikh to perform a solo concert in Lahore, Pakistan, as part of the "Virsa Heritage Revived" series. The concert, co-produced by Mian Yousaf Salahuddin and Yadvinder Singh, garnered over a million views on YouTube. Due to its success, she was invited back for another performance in January 2024, which will be released soon on YouTube.

Her influence extends globally, as she tours Pakistan, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Australia, performing both public and private concerts as well as devotional kirtan programs. Amrita is also set to tour the USA and Canada in late 2024, followed by performances in India, Pakistan and the UK. Through her music, she continues to bridge cultures and bring healing, blending tradition with modernity across the world.
