Make life more colourful this February, as you learn to make your own distinctive art from the world around you. Join us at Gateshead Central Library on Monday 9th February to discover how cultures around the world are using plant power to get creative. Artist Katie Pollard will be on hand to teach you all about natural pigments and dyeing techniques, as well as how to look for artistic materials in places where you might least expect them. 

Tickets for this two-hour workshop are £5 + booking fee. No experience is necessary, and we'll provide all the materials you need to get started, although we recommend bringing a notepad and an apron (just in case!). You're also welcome to bring any non-toxic plants you would like to learn about or experiment with. 

Come along, have fun, and enjoy making something new along the way!

The workshop will be on the 1st floor and is accessible via lift. No experience is necessary.
