Time: 11am – 3pm
Venue: Caedmon Hall, Gateshead Central Library, NE8 4LN
FREE EVENT

GemArts Mini Mela returns this half term. An event packed full of family fun, with free workshops, performances, henna artists, face painting and lots of other exciting arts and crafts to take part in. Join in workshops featuring African,
Chinese, Indian, Mexican and other visual arts from around the world, dance and drumming activities, learn something new and take home your very own creations.

GemArts’ friends will also be there, sharing information on the great work and services delivered across Gateshead, not to mention a few stalls selling gifts and treats.

All workshops are drop in, some may have limited capacity and places will be given on a first come basis. Please speak to a member of GemArts team on the day to find out more. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

2017 marks our parent charity, Gateshead Visible Ethnic Minorities Support Group's 25th Anniversary, in that time we have worked tirelessly to offer equal access to the arts, support and skills development for thousands of people from all backgrounds. Our Mini Melas celebrate diversity, bringing free high quality arts and cultural experiences to communities across the North East. If you have enjoyed
opportunities created by GemArts, and you are able to, please consider making a donation to our work.

Presented with Gateshead Council Culture Team.
