School workshop- Ramadan
Ramadan starts on the 28th of February this year (2025) and ends on Eid al-Fatir on the 20th of March, throughout the month of fasting you can help your students learn about the practice by inviting an artist into school to make a suncatcher- this will help illustrate how fasting follows the rising and setting of the sun. You’ll learn about the geometry that gives Islamic art their unique patterns.
These workshops are designed to be stand alone activities in school without building towards a longer project.
These workshops can support celebrations of Ramadan, Nowruz, Eid al-Fitr, International days or art projects
A typical Ramadan Resources workshop will last for up to 1 hours for each group, can include up to 30 students per session and can incorporate other curriculum topics being studied.
