School workshop- Day of the Dead
Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is celebrated on the 4th of November in 2025. Intsead of being a morbid or scary event- it's filled with colour, laughter and light. These workshops are a great way to create a collaborative piece of art as a class or school.
Your students will work with an artist with parade or festival craft experience to make a large scale piece of art which can be promenaded through school alongside individual pieces for each student. These workshops combine creativity, engineering and cultural heritage.
A typical Day of the Dead workshop will see students working with an artist for a minimum of 1 hour and continuing outside of that initial workshop. The longer students spend with the artist, the more they will be able to learn and make.
Workshops are priced at £250 for a full day plus materials and travel outside of Tyneside
