School workshops- Mini Melas

With a Mini Mela you can fill a day with dance, music and making from different artists- these fun carousels are a great way to create a party atmosphere where students can explore, learn and play with inspiration from diverse artists and practices.

Workshops that could complement your Mini Mela are:

  • Bollywood dance
  • African drumming
  • Chinese printing
  • Mandalas or rangoli making
  • Ceramics, origami, textiles or puppetry from around the world

A Mini Mela is best suited for one big celebratory day!

These  workshops can support celebrations from around the calendar and are a brilliant addition to projects around inclusion or creativity.

A typical in school Mini Mela consists of a number of workshops running at the same time. Carousels of workshops can last between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on preferences with students moving between sessions throughout the school day.
